USDT Wallet Containing About 1.9 Million Seized in Jiayu County Extortion Case, Hubei, China; Unclaimed Within Six Months
According to a December 3 release from the Jiayu County Public Security Bureau in Xianning, Hubei, investigators handling extortion and personal information infringement probes seized items at the suspect Zeng’s residence, including a virtual currency wallet. The wallet contains an estimated balance of about 1.9 million USDT, with ownership currently undetermined.
The rightful owner remains unidentified. Any individual with a lawful claim may file at the Jiayu County Public Security Bureau within six months of the announcement, providing legal proof materials and a valid ID to establish entitlement.
If no claimant is identified or a valid basis is not provided by the deadline, authorities will transfer the assets and any accrued interest to the national treasury in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
