On September 30, COINOTAG reported that the WalletConnect Foundation exposed a significant fraud case. Criminals crafted a malicious app exploiting the WalletConnect brand, and managed to list it on the Google Play store. The fraudulent app has since been removed. It’s crucial to highlight that WalletConnect does not have an official app. Users should remain vigilant and cautious to avoid such scams.
