On December 6th, COINOTAG reported significant movements in the Ethereum market, as a notable whale transferred a substantial amount of assets. According to data from ChainInfo, a wallet that initiated its position in ETH at a price of $154 back in 2019 has now moved all 60,078 ETH to Bitfinex. This transfer effectively emptied the wallet that had previously withdrawn 87,084 ETH, valued at approximately $13.42 million during a time when ETH was still priced at $154.

Interestingly, on December 6, 2020, the same address executed a deposit of 600 ETH into Tornado Cash, which highlights the address’s use of privacy features. The recent transfer to Bitfinex was executed at an average valuation of $3,338 per ETH, showcasing a remarkable return on investment, marking a 21.6-fold increase compared to the withdrawal price. Such changes in whale positions could potentially signal trends within the broader cryptocurrency market.
