COINOTAG reported on August 28 that the decentralized, open-source protocol Privacy Cash is now live on the Solana network, offering a privacy-focused transaction service akin to Tornado Cash. The protocol is described as compliant with OFAC requirements and has already facilitated over 10,000 SOL in private transactions, reflecting initial on-chain transaction volume under the deployed framework.
Privacy Cash enables users to deposit SOL into a dedicated privacy pool and employ zero-knowledge proofs to withdraw funds to any recipient address, ensuring deposits and withdrawals cannot be directly linked. This operational structure provides transactional confidentiality for market participants on Solana while retaining a protocol-level emphasis on regulatory compliance and verifiable, open-source implementation.
