Hoffman, a Stanford alumnus with a Symbolic Systems and Cognitive Science degree and a Marshall Scholar at Oxford, co-founded LinkedIn in 2002. He served as executive chairman until the Microsoft acquisition valued at $26.2 billion in 2016.
