Trump Addresses CZ Pardon Amid World Liberty Financial Stablecoin Deal and Binance Pay-for-Play Allegations

In a CBS News interview, former President Donald Trump weighed in on the CZ pardon discourse, framing it within a political lens. He said, “I don’t know who he is,” and recalled a four-month sentence, signaling that the matter could be viewed as Biden-era political persecution.

During the interview, the host alleged that in 2025 Binance facilitated a $2 billion transaction involving World Liberty Financial’s stablecoin and pressed the idea of a pay-for-play angle tied to a pardon. Trump said he couldn’t comment on the claim, noting, “My sons are very interested in cryptocurrency. I’m glad they are involved because this could be a great industry.” He added that they run a business, not government.

World Liberty Financial Corporation has denied involvement in the pardon action, the company said, underscoring that the allegations are unfounded.
