Ethereum’s Hooli Testnet Set to Launch March 17, Paving the Way for Pectra Upgrade

In a recent update from COINOTAG on March 14th, Ethereal core developers have unveiled plans for a new testnet named Hooli, set to launch on March 17th. This initiative aims to conduct final testing for the Pectra upgrade, which is on track for a mainnet deployment by late April to early May. Notably, previous attempts to deploy Pectra on the Sepolia and Holesky testnets encountered significant challenges, including critical configuration errors and an extended downtime for Holesky. The Hooli testnet is scheduled to trial the Pectra upgrade on March 26th. If these tests yield successful results, developers anticipate initiating the mainnet upgrade approximately 30 days thereafter. This pivotal phase reflects Ethereum’s ongoing commitment to enhancing network reliability and performance.
