The release is embedded in a predetermined vesting plan and was disclosed well in advance, ensuring stakeholders understand the schedule before execution.

In comparison, roughly 270 million HYPE tokens were fully unlocked on November 29, 2024, with a market value near $9.5 billion.

Hyperliquid has not conducted external funding rounds, thereby limiting investor unlocking pressure during vesting events.
