Asset management firm Canary Capital filed a Form S-1 application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday for a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) linked to the PEPE memecoin. The ETF will track PEPE's performance, and all of the fund's PEPE will be held by a custodian. The fund may hold up to 5% of its assets in Ether (ETH detailed analysis) to pay Ethereum network transaction fees.

Details of Canary Capital's PEPE Spot ETF Application

The application includes a warning that U.S. regulations for PEPE and Ethereum usage are evolving. Canary Capital also offers ETFs tracking XRP, Solana (SOL futures), Hedera (HBAR), and Sei (SEI detailed analysis), and recently filed for Mog Coin as well.

PEPE's Market Position and Distribution

PEPE ranks 45th by market capitalization and is about 9% the size of Dogecoin (DOGE). The token has 513,392 holders, but the top 10 wallets hold 41% of the total circulating supply. PEPE is trading 85% down from its December 2024 peak.

PEPE Technical Analysis: Support and Resistance Levels

PEPE is currently in a sideways trend with RSI 54.91 according to PEPE detailed analysis data. Strong support S1: $0.0000 (67/100 score, -0.57% distance). Resistance R1: $0.0000 (71/100 score, +1.27% distance). Investors should closely monitor these levels.

Recent ETF Flows and Institutional Interest

On April 22, 2026, ETF flows saw Bitcoin ETFs with $335.8 million net inflows, while Ethereum ETFs received $96.4 million. These positive flows indicate increasing institutional demand for memecoin ETFs like PEPE. Bybit Mantle's 30,000 ETH loan offer to Aave also strengthens ETH liquidity, providing indirect support to the PEPE ecosystem.
