In a December 19 report cited by The Paper, Geely Technology Group, the technology arm of Geely Auto, is pursuing the tokenization of a rare Hainan Huanghuali timber asset into Real World Asset (RWA) tokens.

Zhao Xiaobao, Geely Tech’s Chief Representative in Hainan, said the initiative could unlock liquidity for industries facing cash flow pressure.

The group plans to issue the first RWA token tranche in Hong Kong in the coming months, targeting a fundraising level of 100 million RMB.
