Only the total trading volume returned by the exchange’s affiliate API is read. Positions, balances and trade history are not visible; the data is a monthly total and is used only to set your tier.
The terms sheet is issued at the cap; the difference is negotiated as a cap revision in exchange for a higher commitment. Up to +5 points of revision apply in the Whale band, and open negotiation applies in the Institutional band.
If your volume band changes at the monthly check, your card moves down or up one tier. Changes are announced in advance — no surprises.
A card is issued for the exchange account whose UID you submit, and verification reads that account’s volume on that exchange. Moving to another desk means signing up there through its link and submitting the new UID; the new card follows the volume verified there.
