NEW: Turkish President Erdogan held a phone call with Trump, discussing Türkiye-US bilateral ties and regional and global developments.

Erdogan said he believes cooperation between the two countries will keep growing and that Ankara will work to give relations more momentum.

On Iran, he said the tension between Tehran and Washington must end and the issues be resolved through diplomacy, adding that Türkiye will keep working for peace.

On the Ukraine-Russia war, he said he hopes the growing diplomatic efforts bring a positive result, that Türkiye will keep contributing, and that stepping up contacts with both Kyiv and Moscow is important.

He also thanked Trump for supporting the Organization of Turkic States Summit.
