Uphold has officially reactivated its staking service for users in the United States, as reported by Cointelegraph on March 3rd. This strategic move follows an evolving regulatory landscape that is increasingly accommodating towards cryptocurrency activities. Following the successful reintroduction of staking in the UK earlier this year, Uphold aims to enhance user engagement and expand its service offerings in the U.S.
Effective March 3rd, 2025, U.S. users can now stake a selection of 19 various cryptocurrencies, including notable assets like Ethereum (ETH), Cosmos (ATOM), and Polkadot (DOT). Stakeholders will receive rewards on a weekly basis, credited in the same cryptocurrency staked. This initiative not only highlights Uphold’s commitment to customer satisfaction but also underscores the growing trend of decentralized finance (DeFi) in an evolving market.
