Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Greece: Many consider the 'casus belli' a threat of war.
Many consider the 'casus belli' a threat of war. That is the Greek version. We, however, have not characterized it as a 'casus belli.'
It is a 1995 declaration of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, not a law.
This preventive declaration has helped preserve peace to this day. It does not constitute a threat of war.
Greece has never explicitly stated that it does not intend to extend to 12 miles before the issue is resolved with Türkiye.
