Bloomberg-Kaiko Data Revolution for Tokenized Markets

Bloomberg is partnering with Kaiko, a Paris-based digital asset market data provider, to make its licensed financial data directly accessible in blockchain environments. This initiative aims to solve the inconsistent data problem in tokenized markets. Inconsistencies in pricing data, security identifiers, and reference information from different companies could lead to operational inefficiencies. By embedding a common licensed data source onchain, market participants are ensured to use the same data set, thereby reducing reconciliation disputes and increasing data integrity.

First use case: tokenized US Treasury bills and repo markets on the Canton Network. The partnership targets banks, asset managers, and other regulated financial institutions. Kaiko CEO Ambre Soubiran stated that enterprise-level data is critical for tokenized securities infrastructure, emphasizing that Bloomberg will bring traditional market data to next-generation tokenized structures.
