MoonAgents Card and AB Integration
MoonPay has launched the stablecoin debit card called MoonAgents Card, which allows AI agents and users to spend directly from their on-chain wallets. This virtual Mastercard can be used at online merchants worldwide that accept Mastercard by converting stablecoins to fiat at the time of payment. The card works compatibly with stablecoins like AB detailed analysis, preserving on-chain liquidity. It is issued through the regulated payment platform Monavate and is part of the new card issuance agreement signed by MoonPay with Exodus Movement.
The company emphasizes that most existing stablecoin cards often require pre-loading or off-chain transfers, while this product is specifically designed for AI agents. Monavate manages on-chain funding and authorizations in real-time; if a transaction is rejected, funds return to the user's wallet instantly. User custody is never transferred at any stage, and approvals can be canceled at any desired time.
AB-Backed AI Agent Payments
The card, currently accessible in the United Kingdom and Latin America via MoonPay CLI, requires identity verification; US and EU markets will launch in the coming months. MoonPay founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright notes that agents already manage wallets, execute transactions, and carry value, but cannot spend at merchants. Exodus founder and CEO JP Richardson says they are expanding their ten years of self-custody wallet expertise to agents.
This move points to a future where AI agents will transact at machine speed with millions of merchants. Stablecoins that can be integrated with tools like AB futures strengthen this ecosystem. Binance founder CZ predicts that AI agents will make millions of times more payments than humans; Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Stripe president John Collison also emphasize that agents will transact with crypto wallets without opening bank accounts.
