Nuva Digital, developed in collaboration with Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, has closed a $5.2 million seed investment to launch the Nuva Finance platform, which provides yields from real-world assets (RWA). The round was led by Morgan Creek Digital, with participation from Ulu Ventures. CEO Anthony Moro stated that this first external funding was completed in one go, structured as a priced Series Seed equity round, and includes token warrant rights. Valuation was not disclosed, but the investment started in the first quarter.
How Does Nuva Finance Work? RWA Vaults
Nuva Digital sets up a system where users deposit USDC and receive nvAsset tokens for proportional ownership. Vault yields are reflected in the token price. Initially, vaults fed by Figure Technologies' on-chain assets:
- nuYLDS: US SEC-approved yield-bearing stablecoin collateral.
- nuHELOCs: Fixed-rate home equity lines of credit funded by more than $16 billion by Figure Lending LLC.
With a self-custody principle, it connects asset issuers directly with users. This bypasses traditional intermediaries.
