Bitwise Asset Management has submitted the second amendment filing to the US SEC for a spot Hyperliquid exchange investment fund. According to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, the filing specifies the $BHYP ticker and a 0.67% management fee. This development is a strong signal that the product may launch soon.

Bitwise's Hyperliquid Spot ETF Application Process

Bitwise took the lead by submitting the first filing in September 2025. 21Shares followed in October, and Grayscale at the end of March. If approved, the ETF will trade on NYSE Arca and provide investors with direct exposure to Hyperliquid's spot price. The first update in December highlighted additional returns from HYPE staking, making the fund attractive. Check out the detailed HYPE analysis here.

$BHYP ETF Details and Fee Structure

$BHYP is competitively positioned with a 0.67% (67 basis points) fee. This rate is reasonable compared to similar crypto ETFs and could attract institutional investors. The fund focuses on Hyperliquid's spot market to meet retail and institutional demand. If the approval process accelerates, a liquidity boom is expected for the HYPE ecosystem.

Hyperliquid's Q1 Volume Record and Competitors

Hyperliquid entered the top 10 largest crypto derivatives platforms with $492.7 billion in trading volume in Q1 2026. It competes with giants like Binance, OKX, and Bybit. This volume proves the platform's scalability and justifies the ETF interest.

HYPE Token Performance: YTD and 12-Month Gains

HYPE has risen 65% year-to-date to $41.96 (current: $41.53). It has gained 182% over the last 12 months. 24-hour change +0.87%. RSI at 54.01 is neutral, overall trend is uptrend but Supertrend gives a bearish signal. EMA 20: $40.9675. HYPE futures details here.

HYPE Technical Analysis: Critical Support and Resistance Levels

Expert view: S1 is strong support; if broken, short opportunities increase. If R1 is surpassed, the rally can continue with the ETF news.

ETF Approval Opportunities for HYPE Investors

The spot ETF will bring institutional capital inflows to HYPE. Staking integration will simplify access to yield farming. Short-term volatility may increase, but the long-term uptrend is supported. Investors should follow the HYPE spot analysis.
